Flowergram is one of the UK’s largest floral relay networks; it was established in the West Midlands in 1988 by the Dimmock family. The Flowergram network boasts around 1000 member florist shops throughout the UK and Ireland and is dedicated to providing a high quality service for its customers, member florists and international partners. It remains a progressive privately owned company committed to providing a first class service for its customers and business partners.
Process of Delivery
Design and Build an Ecommerce website designed to promote the Flowergram relay network plus their member’s products and services. The website was designed to link up with the clients Microsoft Navision software. The interface with Navision enables the clients to manage all content on the website including products and page graphics. Flowergram was advised the by Nutcracker to develop relationships with companies supplying other gift items to sell along side flowers. Relationships were made and gift items are now an integral part of Flowergram’s business. The web site was completed in 2003 then modified in 2004 to allow the client to manage all content including graphics, menu’s and products.
Achievements of the Marketing Campaign
This project has been very successful for the company, with the website taking orders for over £1,250,000 per annum. The website has won a series of awards these include; Regional winners of the Business link/ Chamber of Commerce E commerce award. Awarded Website of the week and featured in the Top ten websites for 2004 in the Daily Telegraph. The website was highly commended by the News of the World nation newspaper. GMTV voted the website as the best online floral network website beating major competitors Interflora and Teleflorist. On more than one occasion the website has been turned off by Flowergram because of the excessive volume of orders. The company has since increased its sales staff to cater for the increased demand. Flowergram take both UK and International orders from the website daily and relay the orders over the Flwergram network.
